Mission

Its mission is to create the conditions and opportunities that enable future generations to take responsibility for advancing knowledge, as well as its transfer and development, contributing to the country’s growth within a global society.

In carrying out its institutional work, the University strives to achieve the highest standards of quality, innovation and relevance, within an environment of mutual respect, freedom of thought, diversity and social inclusion. It promotes spaces for discussion and proposal through multidisciplinary and pluralistic dialogue.

Vision

The University of Santiago of Chile, as a key contributor to the country’s progress, aspires to be an inclusive academic community that grows and develops responsibly in strategic and relevant areas, contributing effectively to the advancement of knowledge and the creation of public goods essential for building a democratic and equitable society.

The Vice Rector’s Office for Graduate Studies at the University of Santiago of Chile is responsible for proposing and implementing policies related to postgraduate education, and for monitoring programme management in collaboration with the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Development and Innovation.
