Academic in nature, the Master’s approaches Communication Sciences from the perspective of Public Communication, training graduates to analyse, from a theoretical and methodological standpoint, the challenges surrounding the construction of public goods within academic and organisational contexts.
Students are expected to address current communication and information challenges within the State and its public entities, at both national and local levels, as well as within various civil society organisations and among the wider citizenry.
Its research areas include Political and Institutional Communication; and Science and Technology Communication.
Curriculum Vitae, birth certificate, original degree certificate or professional qualification (or a notarised photocopy). The undergraduate programme must have a minimum duration of eight semesters. An original or notarised copy of the undergraduate academic transcript must also be submitted, indicating the semesters or years completed. In cases involving credit transfer, the original or notarised transcript of the validated courses must be provided.
For international applicants, the following must also be included:
A photocopy of the passport and/or a notarised copy of the national identity card, if available.
The academic transcript must include a certified equivalency to the 1 to 7 grading scale used in Chile, issued by the home university. If the university does not issue a certificate of equivalency, the applicant must submit a statement from the university confirming this. In cases of credit transfer, the original or notarised transcript of the validated courses must also be included.
Degree certificates and academic transcripts must be legalised through diplomatic channels or, where applicable, bear the Hague Apostille.

External Scholarships
Students enrolled in accredited postgraduate programmes may apply for external scholarships not administered by the University of Santiago, such as those offered by the Chilean National Agency for Research and Development (ANID). These scholarships are competitive and awarded independently of the University.

Todas las postulaciones son gestionadas a través de la Vicerrectoría de Postgrado, que recepciona las postulaciones y las deriva a cada Facultad.
Es importante proporcionar todos los datos y copias escaneadas de la documentación requerida obligatoriamente en el fomulario de postulación online, además de la información específica que requiere cada Programa (ej: certificado de ranking, cartas de recomendación, carta de motivación, etc.)
Cada programa tiene requisitos de ingreso. Para hacer la postulación es necesario revisar los requisitos de ingreso del programa y aportar los documentos que son requeridos de forma obligatoria para la postulación.
Los documentos originales, o copias debidamente legalizadas deben enviarse una vez aceptada la postulación, para iniciar el trámite de formalización de ingreso de alumno regular.
Nos encontramos en el límite de la Comuna de Santiago y la comuna de Estación Central, a pasos del metro Estación Central y de la estación de ferrocarril y buses interubanos.
