This Doctorate aims to support the training of highly qualified professionals and academics who are equipped to promote the development of technological research, as well as the creation and transfer of knowledge, thereby contributing significantly to national development in the complex field of food science and technology.
The Doctorate offers two research areas: Food Engineering and Technology, and Food Science.
Curriculum Vitae, birth certificate, original Bachelor's degree certificate (minimum duration: 8 semesters) or Master’s degree certificate, or notarised photocopy, official transcript of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, original or notarised photocopy indicating the semesters or years completed (in the case of credit transfers, submit the original or notarised transcript of the transferred subjects).
In the case of international students, the following must also be submitted:
Photocopy of the passport and/or notarised photocopy of the national identity card, if available.
The official transcript must include the equivalence to the 1-to-7 scale certified by the home university. If the university does not issue an equivalency certificate, the applicant must submit a certificate issued by the university confirming this (in the case of credit transfers, submit the original or notarised transcript of the transferred subjects).
The degree certificate(s) and transcript(s) must be legalised via diplomatic channels or, as appropriate, through The Hague Apostille Convention.

Postgraduate students enrolled in accredited programmes may apply for external scholarships, such as those offered by the National Agency for Research and Development (ANID).
The Convenio Marco (Framework Agreement) Scholarship is also available.

Todas las postulaciones son gestionadas a través de la Vicerrectoría de Postgrado, que recepciona las postulaciones y las deriva a cada Facultad.
Es importante proporcionar todos los datos y copias escaneadas de la documentación requerida obligatoriamente en el fomulario de postulación online, además de la información específica que requiere cada Programa (ej: certificado de ranking, cartas de recomendación, carta de motivación, etc.)
Cada programa tiene requisitos de ingreso. Para hacer la postulación es necesario revisar los requisitos de ingreso del programa y aportar los documentos que son requeridos de forma obligatoria para la postulación.
Los documentos originales, o copias debidamente legalizadas deben enviarse una vez aceptada la postulación, para iniciar el trámite de formalización de ingreso de alumno regular.
Nos encontramos en el límite de la Comuna de Santiago y la comuna de Estación Central, a pasos del metro Estación Central y de la estación de ferrocarril y buses interubanos.
