Programme details
The Doctorate is aimed at training researchers to generate new knowledge in Neuroscience through the study of the nervous system at various levels of organisation, ranging from the molecular to the neurobehavioural, all within a systems biology perspective.

Upon completion, graduates will be equipped to join both academic research groups and applied research teams.

The research areas are Experimental and Theoretical Neurological Bases of Learning and Synaptic Plasticity; Sensory Physiology; Cellular and Molecular Bases of Nervous System Diseases; Emergent Properties of Neural Circuits, Neuronal Excitability and Ion Channels; and Drug Design and Bioassays.
Who is it for
Intended for individuals holding at least a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy and Chemistry, Biotechnology, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, or related fields.
Entry requirements

Curriculum Vitae, birth certificate, original Bachelor’s degree certificate (minimum duration of eight semesters) or Master’s degree certificate, or notarised photocopies thereof; original academic transcript for the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or notarised photocopies indicating the semesters or years completed (in cases of credit transfer, the original or notarised photocopy of the transcript showing the validated courses must be submitted).

For international students, the following must also be included:

A photocopy of the passport and/or a notarised photocopy of the national identity card, if applicable.

The academic transcript must include equivalency on the 1 to 7 grading scale certified by the home university. If the university does not issue an equivalency certificate, the applicant must provide a statement from the university confirming this. (In cases of credit transfer, the original or notarised photocopy of the transcript showing the validated courses must be submitted.)

Degree certificates and academic transcripts must be legalised through diplomatic channels or, where applicable, bear the Hague Apostille.

¿Qué datos debo proporcionar en mi postulación?

Es importante proporcionar todos los datos y copias escaneadas de la documentación requerida obligatoriamente en el fomulario de postulación online, además de la información específica que requiere cada Programa (ej: certificado de ranking, cartas de recomendación, carta de motivación, etc.)

¿Qué documentos son importantes?

Cada programa tiene requisitos de ingreso. Para hacer la postulación es necesario revisar los requisitos de ingreso del programa y aportar los documentos que son requeridos de forma obligatoria para la postulación.

¿En qué momento debo presentar los documentos originales?

Los documentos originales, o copias debidamente legalizadas deben enviarse una vez aceptada la postulación, para iniciar el trámite de formalización de ingreso de alumno regular.

¿Dónde estamos ubicados?

Nos encontramos en el límite de la Comuna de Santiago y la comuna de Estación Central, a pasos del metro Estación Central y de la estación de ferrocarril y buses interubanos. Por lo que si vienes de otras ciudades a desarrollar tu programa, será fácil movilizarte.
